Summary

In the  article, there are discussed the problems of unemployment in Georgia and the role of sustainable economic development in it. The study provides statistical data, sustainable development goals and state policy analysis. Eliminating the employment problem is a guarantee of the country's stability and economic progress. After solving the problem of unemployment in the country it will be possible to achieve sustainable development goals, which in turn is the way to develop the country in the right direction which is very important for Georgia.

Georgian government considers as a priority to solve the problems that primarily hinder the achievement of prosperity, but in 2020, as we see, this problem is still relevant and more serious than it was, due to the current situation in the world, it is much more acute and topical. It can be clearly stated that only by implementing social programs and increasing aid it is impossible to eradicate poverty in the country, to eliminate poverty in the country is to reduce the unemployment rate more effectively than social programs can do it.

The problem of unemployment in Georgia is very important and noteworthy. While tackling the unemployment problem is part of the state's policy and is committed to addressing the problem, sustainable development needs to be achieved. The sector is collapsing due to the current problems in the world and is practically suspended, so it is necessary to develop other directions besides tourism and create alternative jobs, especially at the regional level. Also, according to the current situation it would be better to use the unemployment insurance system more effectively, which would allow unemployed people to receive income from the insurance company and not the state in case of loss of the job and income, and the state would impose this burden on the private sector. The country needs to pay attention to the shadowy part of the labor market, to fully or partially legalize it. In order to eliminate the problem of unemployment, it is necessary to revise and refine the educational programs, the education system must respond to the demands of the labor market as quickly, efficiently and adequately as possible. Unemployed people should be able to take a retraining course in a short period of time that will make them in demand in the labor market as quickly as possible.
